Our Doctors

​​​​​Dr. Andrew Simon is a senior partner at Vision Center Associates. He graduated from the State University of New York at Albany Cum Laude with a B.S. in Medical technology in 1982. Dr. Simon then went on to attend the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, where he earned a second B.S. in visual science and completed his O.D. degree in 1986. Dr. Simon is a member of the American Optometric Association and Connecticut Association of Optometrists. He has served as a member of the state ethics committee and is a Principal Investigator for various contact lens companies. His specialties include: primary care, contact lenses and low vision. His interests in many areas including: world travel, golf, soccer, scuba diving and Literature.

​​​​​Dr. Neil Rosen graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He continued his education at SUNY College of Optometry where he received his Doctorate in Optometry in 1991. He practiced in Paramus, NJ before joining Vision Center Associates in 1992. He opened the Trumbull office in 1996 and has been serving the Trumbull and neighboring communities with comprehensive eye care, contact lens evaluations and fitting, disease management and urgent care for both adults and children. Dr. Rosen is highly regarded in the field of LASIK consultation and co-management. He has a passion for skiing.

​​​​​Dr. Nilka Pabon was born and raised in Sabana Grande, PR. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology from University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez campus in 2005, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then continued her education at IAUPR School of Optometry where she finished her Doctorate in Optometry in 2009 and was honored with the Clinical Excellence Award. Dr. Pabon started working for Vision Center Associates immediately after graduating and has been with our practice since then. Dr. Pabon is fluent in English and Spanish. She enjoys cycling, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

​​​​​Dr. Lindsay Estel dreamed of becoming an optometrist ever since she received her first pair of glasses at the age of 5. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from West Virginia University in her home state in 2015, earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a minor in Business Administration. She continued her education at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated Cum Laude with her Doctorate in Optometry degree in 2019. In 2023, Dr. Estel achieved the prestigious designation of Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) which signifies a lifelong commitment to stay at the top of the field through continued learning. Dr. Estel is thankful to have her “childhood dream job” at Vision Center Associates. In her free time she enjoys theater, dancing and trivia.
